Apologies for the long delay between this post and my last, right after earning my VCP-DCV 2023 I had decided to take a short break to re-energize and re-invigorate myself for future endeavors. I am considering developing my programming/scripting skills beyond running scripts and allow myself to utilize these skills for script creation. I would like to take the PCAP exam offered by the python institute to help in developing these skills. My plan is to go through the Cisco Networking Academy training which includes a 35 hour course covering the PCEP, Python Certified Entry-level Programmer, which then leads into the PCAP, Python Certified Associate Programmer. I realize that this may seem to be a strange jump to make from VCP-DCV, but I believe that as IT professionals it is important to develop new skills that can apply to many situation, something for your tool-belt. I feel that the ability to program and script will be a very useful tool in my career and I am excited to share what I learn!
