Depending on what OS you are running, specifically on the machine you are accessing your AWS resources with, not the VMs themselves your options can vary. If you are using Mac/Linux and windows 10 and up you can use the SSH utility. If you have any version of Windows including 11 and below you can use PuTTY instead. If none of those work you can use EC2 instance connect. This post was relatively short I just wanted to go over the SSH requirements.
