I hope everyone had a happy halloween! To start off this month I thought it would be great to pick up where we left off on Lambda. All of these limits are per region. To start off with memory allocation, you have a limit of 128 MB to 10 GB total, in 1 MB increments. Next up the maximum execution time for lambda is 15 minutes, or 900 seconds. Environment variables limited to 4 KB. The disk capacity for your function in /tmp is limited to 512 MB to 10 GB. You can have up to 1000 concurrent executions but this can be increased if necessary by opening a quota increase case in the Service Quotas dash board. In terms of deployment size it is limited to 50 MB for compressed and 250 MB for uncompressed, but you can put up to 10 GB of additional startup files in the /tmp directory that I mentioned before. Today’s post was short and sweet but I am glad we were able to cover it. I look forward to going back to posting on this site more frequently.
