QuickSight is used for business analytics and offers a dashboard in order to review data. It can perform IN-MEMORY computation using SPICE by having the data loaded directly into it, allowing for very fast compute times. You can integrate Quicksight with a data source as well so you don’t have to load data directly into it, such as RDS, S3, OpenSearch, Redshift, Athena, etc. In QuickSight for the standard edition you can define users and in the enterprise you can define groups for users. These roles are separate from IAM and define access only in QuickSight. The data and analytics provided by QuickSight are called an analysis only users you allow access can edit the configuration. When you share your analysis it is referred to as a dashboard, which is a point in time of that particular analysis.
